Giant Snake Photos from Borneo

So the story goes that photos of a giant snake were photographed from a helicopter in Borneo on January 31, 2009. I first read the story on Cryptomundo and I was sure I had seen the photos ages ago, so I read through the comments on the mundo and sure enough a commenter was quick to point out and bust the story.

Just seems like the story is kind of getting out of hand and i hope I'm not contributing to it.

Video uploaded to youtube in 2007 showing the pictures.

140 Years of UFO Photos

A collection of UFO photos dating back nearly 140 years. I wouldn't normally post compilation videos, but I love how the photos in the video are presented in chronological order. Though, my guess is the video wont be up for long, what with the way Youtube seems to be cracking down on copyright issues, especially with the name of the song and band in description, it'll most certainly be picked up by some kind of algorithm.

Alive in Joburg, Short Film

Here's a short by Neill Blomkamp called Alive in Joburg. The movie's a few years on now, makes me wonder what other gems are out there.

Alive in Joburg is about alien refugees in South Africa, mech wearing, telekinetic, tentacle mouthed aliens that is. If you like Special forces, special effects, mech armor and a film with a message, then you'll enjoy this.

Sky Watching with Rand No.2

Here's some more plane videos for everyone, I titled it differently than the first video because it's more inclusive and flows better. These clips are some of my first attempts at filming objects in the sky, they're pretty shaky, but trust me I do get better.

So far it's been an enjoyable experience and I'm well on my way to having a rock steady camera hand and I've realized a few things about UFO videos on the way, they're probably ten times as hard to capture on video.

Bring Back Frank Black

btb1

A few months ago I was contacted by Mark Hayden Co-adminstrator of the site BackToFrankBlack.com, BTFB is a fan site for the T.V show Millennium which screened back in the late 90s, the thing is BTFB want to bring Frank Black and the Millennium characters back to our screens in a continuation of the Millennium story. They have a lot of info on how you can help bring back Frank Black on their website, including petitions you can sign, letter writing campaigns, tips and tricks on how to get started, they're a very organized bunch that's for sure.

The show centered around former F.B.I profiler Frank Black played by Lance Henriksen, set in the years before the new Millennium.

I remember the show and enjoyed it a lot, but I was in my teens back then and the memories of the show are a little hazy, hell, most of my teen years are a little hazy. In those years I was pretty into The X-Files and when Millennium came along I was instantly hooked, I'd have to say I enjoyed Millennium more, much grittier and quite a lot freakier and the characters and actors drew me in as well.

I hope the folks over at BackToFrankBlack.com are able to get things brewing, it would be nice to see what happens to the story in a world after the new millennium. If anything the sites a great place for any Millennium fan, interviews and support from some of the former cast members, insights into where the show was headed and where some would have liked the story to go.

I wish the peeps over at BackToFrankBlack.com all the best and now that I'm an online shopper I've got myself a hankering for some DVD box sets.

Now Canada releases its UFO files

What's with all this government transparency? Seems like a huge push to get these files out there and if you think about it, these wheels would have been put into motion maybe years ago. So what are they hoping to achieve?

France, the U.K and Denmark have released their UFO files, now Canada is coming to the party with their own UFO files. From what I understand the Canadian files are a little more in depth than what the other countries have made available, but after trying to navigate the user interface they have I've given up, can't figure out how to fully use the son of a...

Is all this file releasing designed to cushion us for something bigger? maybe get us ready for a new perceived threat?

Alien Video from Peru

Reaching here I think, the video shot in Santa Rosa de Quives, Peru is said to show an alien being. I lean more towards it being a thin piece of grass to close to a crappy camera.

I better watch out, I've been pretty quick in providing simple explanations lately, I just know I'm gonna eat toe sooner or later.

Somerset Cylinder UFO Video

This video was filmed in July last year, but has only just surfaced. Filmed from a campsite in Brean, Somerset. The video shows what appears to be a large cylindrical, cigar shaped object.

Pretty cool footage, it kind of looks solid, but at the same time it doesn't to me.

Get the full story here.

Or could it be one of these?

Time wasting week in review 1

What I enjoyed online last week is now called Time wasting week in review, I can't stick with anything can I, anyway, flows a little better and makes a nice acronym, TWWIR.

Most of these will not be related to the paranormal at all, but they did take up a substantial amount of my time, so I might as well get some use out it.

For Gamers

First up there's Noobtoob, a weekly video produced by a couple of video game lovers. Each show is about an hour long and they're jam packed with honest to goodness gaming love, lots of swears to. Just loading up the latest episode as write this post.

Survival Ideas
I have quite a thing for outdoor survival, nothing to extreme, but I do like to go out and collect food located around my area, freely available and delicious as well. I also like to see what others are up to and there's some very dedicated folks out there. I spent a good part of last week watching the videos of ryanjcus, who shares on youtube quite a lot on the topic, if you're interested in this kind of stuff his channel is a great resource.

For Film Lovers
Don and Murph also known as Shawn and M.J are a couple dudes who really love their movies. I've been following them on their adventures for quite awhile now, reviewing movies, sharing their DVD collections, watching them in their around the town vlogs and even seeing them be part of actual film productions. Their latest movie review is of the new Friday the 13th, reviewed in character as Don and Murph, spoiler alert, then again you ahould know what to expect from a Jason movie.

In a similar vein to Shawn and M.J, wetmovie1 is a movie lover who likes to make films. I started following him after seeing him in one of Shawn's videos, ever since I just haven't been able to get enough. Here he is in his latest short movie Night Owls 4. Warning not for sensitive ears.

Well that should do it, spent plenty more time last week wasting time, so much in fact, last week is now a blur.

Catch y'all soon with some spooky business.

God of War III, Epic Trailer

As part of my new focus I'm going to be posting about things I wouldn't normally post about here on Paranormal Activities, the first of which should be pretty easy to stick with and it's called "What I enjoyed online last week".

Part of why I was feeling so unfocused with this blog is I waste a lot of time online just entertaining myself, so I thought, why not get some use out of those wasted moments and share with y'all what I enjoy while I'm not focused on P.A.

What I enjoyed most online last week was the epic trailer for the upcoming PS3 game God of War III. I only own a PSP when it comes to gaming, so at this point in time I really have no hope of playing GoWIII, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the awesomeness of the trailer.

And here it is and be sure to check out my full What I enjoyed online last week post coming up next.

Shadowy Figure Captured by 12 Year Old Boy

Thanks to dg1884 for pointing out this video. The video was shot by 12 year old Reece Pitman, while randomly filming his house with his mobile phone. It shows a shadowy figure moving across the view. Reported by The Sun.

I can't explain it, there does seem to be something going on with the bright lighting though and the figure looks pretty close to the camera to me.

Another interesting Ghost Video, 2 days in a row, woot.

Cowboy Ghost Video

From the P.I.T crew comes one of the most interesting ghost videos I've seen in a long time. The video shot from a stationary camera shows an apparition moving past it, it then comes back and we get to see what looks like the ghost of a cowboy.

The video is from an 8 night investigation the P.I.T crew did at an Industrial Facility.

I haven't done this before, but hopefully it works, below is a playlist of all the videos relating to the investigation, I haven't watched them all, but I will after I post this.

What the hell am I doing (site update)

Maybe it's the heat, but I'm finding it really difficult to find my blogging flow lately, I'm concentrating on to much and as a result I get nothing done. I don't feel like I'm in the game like I used to be when it comes to the paranormal, news popped up back then and I was right on it, now I'm days late to blog it. I know I'm spreading myself thin, I run other blogs as well which takes up a good amount of time, though they're in really bad shape compared to Paranormal Activities

I'm just ranting here for my own sake, I should be getting this down on paper, but then again, maybe if I blog it I'll stick to it.

Original Content:

-Well, I've got loads more plane videos, very easy to get online.
-Expose myself on youtube, get your mind out of the gutter, get a vlog going.
-Film local haunts, tell the stories, day time, night vision sucks.
-Living off the land Kiwi Style, Bush Craft videos. Put together a list of topics, mostly wild foods, edit what I've got.
-Short movie, write script, gather props.
-Comic strip, get designs on computer, write a middle and an end lol.

Time management and other content

-Paranormal Activities is now my main focus, blog what I'd blog on my other blogs here, when they fit.
-Bulk bookmark timeless news, videos and content for scheduled blogging once a week.
-Blog timely news, videos and content soon as.
-Incorporate my time wasting internet activity into P.A, maybe a weekly post of what I enjoyed online during the week.
-make time for editing, uploading, filming, drawing.

Promotion
I'll get around to it.

What do you guys want?
-Constant flow of news?
-Constant flow of creepy videos?
-More community features such as contests, reader stories, user submitted news, links?
-More original content from me, I promise it'll be more interesting than just planes?

You'd think adding a poll to wordpress would be much easier, at this time of the night it ain't, need to look into it when I'm fresher.

Hmm, was good to get that all out, let me now what y'all think, I'm always up for a good critique.

Ghosts/Aliens, For Really Intense Dudes Only

I've just ordered a book online called Ghosts Aliens which as far as I can gather is about the adventures of a regular pair of guys investigating strange activities, such as teleporting Hot Pockets and birds that wink at you and how you can kick their asses. I don't know, sounds like fun, I've enjoyed the promotional material quite a bit like the Ghosts/Aliens site and videos below.

Girl Possessed while using Ouija Board

I've used a Ouija Board once, nothing happened, though we didn't put a lot of effort into it, probably because if we had something could have happened and we'd be screwed, well that's the thought that pops up in my head every time Ouija is mentioned.

My first impression of the video below was that it looked fantastically authentic, then I read the users profile, she's a filmmaker, bunked already, so why am I posting it? well, it's top notch stuff, I love things that invoke an emotional reaction in me, which this did and not a lot of things on youtube do that for me.

EDIT: Reading through the comments on youtube it looks like the user isn't really giving to much away about the authenticity of the footage, the tone leans toward it being real, so who knows.

Barriers to Innovation and Inclusion at NASA

This homemade film written and produced by NASA astronaut Andrew Thomas illustrates some of the real barriers to Innovation at NASA. The scenarios played out in the video are based on actual events, it's no wonder NASA seems to take forever to get things going.

The story behind this video.
About Andrew Thomas.

Plane Spotting with Rand

Not all that interesting, the font doesn't suit the footage and there's a lot more to come, how's that for a riveting introduction.

I've found that filming moving objects in the sky is actually very tricky, so I've been practicing on planes, luckily there's no shortage of planes flying over head where I live and probably not so lucky for you guys I'm up to about 2 dozen videos like the one below, but I promise you they do get better and you'll see the practice paying off.

So join me in enjoying (meh) Plane Spotting with Rand.

Remember to head over to youtube to enjoy it in HD.

Night of the Army of Blade Runner

Howdy y'all, been a bit slack, but frankly I just haven't seen anything worth posting. Been working on a few videos in that time and you should get a look at my mug soon enough. Editing video takes so dang long, I have to render my HD video files just to be able to edit them together in a workable fashion, then I have to render them again, rendering takes ages.

On another note I've been doing some online shopping, something I have never done. I was looking for props for a project I'm working on, but my head started to hurt after seeing the options available, so I'm just gonna hunt what I need down on foot. I bought some DVDs instead.

I bought three DVDs in total, first is one of my favorite movies of all time, Army of Darkness. Never get tired of this cheesy, horror comedy.

Next I got a movie I saw a lot when I was younger, loved it but haven't seen it in a very long time, The Return of the Living Dead, another horror comedy, great costumes and props in this movie.

And the last DVD I got for the reason I can never remember properly, I know the story, I know what it's about, it's like the specifics get wiped from my mind, I guess that's a good thing, keeps the movie fresh, it's Blade Runner.
