Interesting UFO video from Mexico

As it stands there is an abundance of UFO videos, it's why I post so many of them, but lately I feel I'm repeating myself a lot, sure I've come across some interesting ones, but I always come to the same conclusion, lanterns and balloons.

I thought the video below was pretty amazing when I first saw it, but after a few more viewings and watching as the lights disappeared over a rooftop it just felt the right size for a lantern, a little more snooping around and I found the guys over at Above Top Secret had come up with some interesting evidence debunking this video.

Not sure if I'll be posting to many more night time UFO videos, there's to much hidden and to much left to the imagination. you would think day time UFO videos would be a hell of a lot better, but judging by the videos I've seen it seems like what you'd make up in quality gets lost in the distance.

Then again, I'm skimped for ghost videos and especially bigfoot videos.

Need help with Paranormal Activities in New Zealand?

Brad Scott and the crew over at NZ Paranormal along with production company Pixelz Productions are on their way to filming the second series of NZ Paranormal. The first series was a raw, honest look at some of the alleged haunted locations to be found around New Zealand.

They're a non-profit paranormal investigation team with the aim to help and educate the public deal with matters of the paranormal, they also strive to document and someday scientifically prove the existence of ghosts.

As part of preparing for the second series, NZ Paranormal are on the lookout for haunted locations that can be found around New Zealand, they're also wanting to help you for free if you're having trouble with the paranormal.

If you know of any haunted locations or need help yourself then head over to NZ Paranormal, check out their site and get in contact with them.

I'm really excited to see what they get up to in the next series, great seeing NZ represent.

Giant Squid Attacks Submersible Camera

I have no idea if this is a giant squid, but it sure does look big and I wouldn't want to encounter it on one of my diving trips. There seems to be some discussion to it maybe being a Humboldt squid, someone will sort that out.

The footage to the best of my knowledge was shot at a depth of 1650 feet in the Gulf of Mexico, the videos shows the big squid wrapping its tentacles around the submersible and at one point the remote controlled are tries to nudge it off.

Cool video.

Amazing UFOs recorded with night vision

After seeing these videos I took my new camera outside to try out the night vision, sadly it couldn't see very high, I'm guessing these videos were shot with some top notch night vision gear.

These videos illustrate just how busy the night skies are, pointing out various types of planes, satellites and objects of the unexplainable kind.

The first video shows a cluster of lights that look to be moving really fast , a couple of planes can also be seen.

This next video shows a plane and then a set of lights forming a V.

This video gives us some reference by way of a satellite dish, it shows a lot of lights also forming a V.

Satellite

Here's the deal though, I've been fooling around with my night vision quite a bit and I've found it strange the way it illuminates objects. In the videos above there are notes that these objects are not visible to the naked eye and I can't help but say that some of the footage could be of ducks, had to say it, but I cold be wrong.

Triangle UFOs over Hainault London

The description with these videos says that 10 minutes before he arrived there were like 50 of these lights. It seems these lights come in threes, one set after another, maybe they're left overs from a lantern release.

Even though these videos were shot with a cell phone camera the quality is very good, and the way they are presented, very top notch, zoomed in and out, footage of the surroundings, commentary, long, definitely a great example of how UFO videos should be filmed and presented.

More on my Sony HDR-SR12

I've had my Sony HDR-SR12 for a few days now and I'm still very impressed with it, easy to use, lots of options, image quality is beautiful.

The one real issue I have at this time is working with the files it produces. I have a pretty basic computer, not a lot of grunt and I've found that the highest quality video the camcorder produces can't play that well on my computer, so in order to play them I have to convert them to another video format, which I'm teaching myself about now, but that's all for playback on a computer, hook the camcorder directly to a HD-TV and no problems, full High-Def viewing.

The HDR-SR12 produces .mts AVCHD something or other video files and mpeg2 files, software support for the former is hard to find and it seems to work with these files I may need to buy some high end video editing software like Sony Vegas etc, but I'm sure there must be some free software out there, just gotta keep looking.

So the HDR-SR12 may not be the best choice for the casual user, unless you just want to shoot and watch on a HD-TV then I think it's all good, especially with the 120GB hdd.

On another note I was out plane spotting yesterday using the camera and oh my lord, using full digital zoom I could pretty much see the nuts and bolts of the plane, as soon as I figure out the editing I'll have a video up.

Also as a free gift for purchasing the HDR-SR12 I just placed my order for a cute little Sony Cybershot DSC-T2 8MP Digital Camera, worth about $600 down here, I'd say the price is so high due to the 4gigs of inbuilt memory. It comes in multiple colors, but the problem for me is I got in to late and they only had pink left, maybe I can colour it in.

Ghost of a boy caught on video

This footage by my best guess comes from Mexico and from the Tijuana based paranormal investigators Grupo Paranormal.

The video is pretty long as there's a lot of discussion going on and it ain't in English, but you can find it summarized by Javier Ortega over at Ghost Theory. The actual footage of the boy ghost is pretty short, but it is interesting and I'm not able to shrug it off as some kind of reflection, though that light and the night vision is a little worrying. It shows what looks like a boy peaking from behind television set.

You'll also find the intriguing back story at Ghost Theory.

UFO Video from Southern France

Here's some UFO footage from Southern France uploaded to disclosetv about a month ago, it shows about half a dozen lights, the video is pretty long and it isn't to dissimilar to the UFO video from Santiago, Chile that I posted about yesterday, though it does a few interesting things towards the end.

Somethings striking me as I take my time getting back into blogging, there seems to be a load more multiple light and triangle UFO videos floating about, a sign of better times to come, hope so I was getting board of single lights.

Amazing UFO Video from Santiago, Chile

Here's quite an amazing looking UFO video coming by way of Santiago, Chile. All info points to it being filmed just a few days ago. What it shows is multiple lights and at times they appear to form triangles.

All news Web mentions that "The Chilean Air force has issued a statement that the lights were an air force display corresponding to the graduation of trainee pilots...", mystery solved?

Just wish whoever put it online didn't use that dang X-Files music, then again I wouldn't have anything to post about.

I've got myself a new video camera

So I went out and purchased the Sony HDR-SR12 handycam instead of the Sony SR11 I was looking at, a little bit more expensive but I do get double the hard drive space. I've got to say I'm loving it so far, haven't had to much time to play around with it, but so far, awesome.

The upsides, the Zoom is amazing, it feels like I'm some kind of super spy. The NightShot mode is excellent as well, thought I was on an episode of Survivor trying it out. Low light is great as well, though there is a little issue with the auto-focus, though cut to manual and it's all good. The controls, settings etc I have found really easy to pick up.

The downsides, Super NightShot is actually really crap unless the camera is stationary or maybe I'm missing something. Working with the video files is gonna be a real learning curve, but basically I could just store all my videos on the cameras hard drive and play them back using a High-def TV or PS3, and if I'm really into backing up, burn the raw video files to dvd and I can play those on a blu-ray player.

Anyway, I'll update y'all when I've had more time with it.

UFO Video, Prescott, Arizona

Here's an oldish UFO video, filmed in Prescott, Arizona. It doesn't seem to have gained any popularity, but it's actually kind of pretty.

It seems high, it seems far away I'm just wondering if it's one of these (a bunch of lights hung from a helicopter) or maybe some cool editing trick.

How To Get Rid Of Ghosts

How To Get Rid Of Ghosts, makes sense really, but I hope it's not this kind of sage (WARNING: people doing stupid things) they speak of, then again if it is it would explain a lot.

Museum Ghost Video

Like the barn orb video this is a little old, but without a decent back story lets just enjoy.

As far as I can gather this was originally from a security camera from a Mexican museum, maybe not a ghost, more like some poltergeist activity. The video shows a gate open then two rotating gate thingies start spinning like crazy. Pretty cool really.

Barn Orb Video

I don't think I've posted anything specifically about Orbs in a very long time, haven't posted much lately at all. I'm not really into Orbs, I have to much flash photography to lead me to think that Orbs are just as common as red-eye.

But videos can be a different story, there's more to analyze, but I still think Orbs on video is a pretty common occurrence.

The Orb video below is one of the better ones I've seen, but as always there's a few things that bother me. The video quality is shocking, in my experience when the video quality is bad there's more to be made-up about it, you can see things in the video noise that may not actually be there, you can also hide a lot in bad quality video.

As with a few recent ghost videos that have made it to mainstream news this one to me doesn't appear to be a bug or any kind of dust, it looks like a solid light.

So could it be an Orb or could it just be some pranksters flashlight.

I'm thinking of buying the Sony HDR-SR11 Handycam

I spent a good portion of my month off blogging researching gadgets for ghost hunts and what not, the most substantial of which was the Sony HDR-SR11 AVCHD 60GB Handycam. I haven't got it yet, I'm waiting for all the good Christmas interest free deals so I can hire purchase the camera without any added cost, some of these terms may be NZ specific, sorry. I imagine I'll order it in a week or two.

I already have a digital SLR still camera that takes video, but its main purpose is that of a still camera and I've realized I enjoy taking video way more than I do taking photos, so I may sell my old camera to go towards purchasing the HDR-SR11. It doesn't mean I'll be without a decent still camera, the HDR-SR11 from the reviews I've read is one of the best camcorders around for taking still photos, though from the examples I've seen the results look varied. With the deals we got going on down here the HDR-SR11 comes with a free Cybershot T2 anyway, nice and pocket sized, unlike my old lumbering camera.

So what makes me so interested in the Sony HDR-SR11 note: link to SR12, but they're the same, well the 60GB hard drive for one, most of the other High-Def cameras out there use tapes, DVDs, memory cards and I'm so sick of fiddling with all that stuff, though the HDR-SR11 does come with memory card slots as well. The only problem with the HDD option is its sensitivity, one good bang and I could loose hours of footage or loose the HDD for storage, though if that happened I could alternatively use memory cards.

Another reason is because it's High-Definition, I'll be able to watch my home movies in great detail, maybe even make a movie and release it on DVD, as for ghost hunting and sky watching I imagine High-Def would be very useful. Given that, the HDR-SR11 has options to film in Standard-Definition as well, this means hours upon hours of recording time on the HDD and if I'm just shooting videos for Youtube, well I don't really need High-Def do I.

And one last reason why I'm so interested in this camcorder, it supposedly has very good low-light recording capabilities and night shot modes, ghost hunting here I come.

FYI:
The HDR-SR12 and HDR-SR11 are exactly the same apart from the HDD size, the HDR-SR10, the little brother is a striped down version of the 12 and 11 and not as feature rich or powerful.

Edmonton, Canada Meteor Video

Of course I'm a little late to this story, but dang is this footage caught by a Police cars dash cam beautiful.
Massive fireball lights up night skies in Alberta, Saskatchewan.
Freshly fallen meteor fragments found in Saskatchewan

It's a lot like this older footage of a separate event, I imagine it was filmed in much the same way as the Edmonton Meteor Video.
