Ancient Technology Lecture by Jason Martell
Interesting lecture by Jason Martell, a guy whose really interested in the ancient world and a possible extraterrestrial connection. The lecture starts of by exploring some "out of place artifacts", ancient technologies and knowledge. It then moves onto how ancient man would have known such things, how their gods could have been aliens and why they thought they were gods. It finishes off with ideas of the Sumerians, the Annunaki and Planet X.

Leicestershire UFO Video
It's not often a Youtube user uploads a UFO video of their own and then enhances it and then records a daytime comparison shot.
This object shot over Leicestershire , U.K at first looks like a single light, later on you get a good look at it close up and it appears to be a cluster of lights, quite interesting.
CG is sadly a major doubt of any video these days, so it's a given that it should be a question asked, other than that hard to say, it looks structurally solid, I'm thinking it's a real object, though what it is, who knows.

Not much of a story, dude sets his camera down, forgets to turn it off and captures some strange shite. Recorded on the "Queen mary", must be the cruise ship other than that no more info, but it seems the uploader is answeing questions.
You could easily layer another piece of footage over this to get the same effect, looks cool but a little unconvincing.

Alien Caught On Video Inside Home
The story goes like this, a middle aged Florida couple are plagued by abductions and intrusions by aliens, I guess they decide to try and capture it on film. So I hope there's a tone there, well maybe not, I'm not that great a writer. If you picked it up it's because I'm still jaded by the whole Rickmat creature thing, don't worry though I'll get over it.
So what do y'all think of this video, it looks like your typical alien creature, but what they hell is going on above its head, the door or whatever it is moves in perfect sync with the subject, seems dodgy.
Just another case of seeing faces in many places, in this case aliens.
Got to give myself an out, could be real for all I know.

F**k Fox News Chants Protestors
It really says something when a "news" station generates this much anger. The news should be there to report news, not sway the opinions of masses.
I love to watch Fox news, I gets me so worked up, it shouldn't do that, but I guess that's why it's supposedly so popular, it's good entertainment, not news.

Drunk again
"You can't always get what you want" some of my family need to realize that, but "come on Eileen" give it a go, just "relax" don't do it, though give us a comment because "you spin me right round" baby right round. Though times haven't even gone past a "Vietnam War song", we haven't learned a thing. I've got the hiccups now but do y'all think we need to "Dream On" maybe even put a little "Sweet Emotion" into it. Why not "Take on me" and we can act like "Billion Dollar Babies", it'll make a change from "Eyes Without a Face".
I've thought "For the Longest time" that "We didn't start the fire" (I know Billy Joel) but it really means "Nothing to me" and I really "Don't worry about a thing" just like a "Buffalo Soldier" and it really "Don't rock my Boat".
Unexpectedly sometimes I do get a "Total Eclipse of the Heart" but not on Mondays, because "I Don't Like Mondays" but it's "More Than a Feeling" and it's "hard to say I'm sorry" though "Don't Cry" "if you Leave me Now" it won't be "Good Enough" just like the "Golden Years".
I feel like I'm "Under Pressure" a lot of the time but if you "Pour Some Sugar on me" I'll be fine just like a "Tiny Dancer" and "Cocaine" it's bloody "Epic" especially "When I Come Around" and I'm "The Passenger" in such situations "I wanna be your dog".
Right, time for me to pass out and on another note what the funk was all that. Well I'll have to ponder that when I wake up tomorrow/today.

Email Overload
Just to let y'all know that I have a case of email overload, not the good kind either. About a couple weeks ago I was being bombarded with spam comments, upwards of a couple hundred a day, I let it slide for a couple weeks and now I've got thousands of email notifications to sort through. Unfortunately the email reader that comes with my hosting isn't all that user friendly so I've been putting off cleaning it up, I want to take the time just in case I mistakenly delete legit correspondence.

The Future of Evidence in a Mysterious World
The ultimate goal for anyone with a prolonged passion for investigating the paranormal, the unexplainable and mysterious is to one day hold forth the evidence that proves that passion, otherwise it's just another religion.
Got nothing against religion, but my dad once told me "whatever you believe in will be true" and I feel that's true of anyone with faith no matter what belief it is, it will be true.
I had high hopes for the Georgia Bigfoot, it would have been world shattering evidence, may have even changed belief systems, hell the crypto world would have been seen in a better light and that may have bled into other areas of the mysterious. It still seemed to make people stand up and take notice, crap about the outcome though.
As it stands, a Bigfoot body will still be the ultimate evidence, so would an alien craft crashed into some inner city environment. The ultimate evidence is something that can be held, passed around, studied and isn't gone in the blink of an eye.
Hard evidence aside, what about photos and video? In my time blogging about the paranormal I can count on one hand the videos and photos that are remarkable and I think are totally genuine, not a lot out of 600 odd blog posts is it. Vids and pics keep things moving and interesting but the amount of fakes out there is becoming a little overwhelming and it's only going to get harder.
I don't deal with photos a lot on my blogs as you may have noticed, mostly due to copyright issues (if they came with embed codes I'd post a lot more) and partly because they're so easy to fake, videos on the other hand had been a lot harder to fake and there wasn't much use for faking them. With the Internet in its video age, software becoming easier and cheaper to use, it's pretty much a matter of if one has time on their hands and a hunger for attention, the result being that video fakes are a dime a dozen and it's to much to investigate.
Just take a look of some cutting edge software headed our way.

Frightening isn't it, just imagine what our governments and media could do with those, well, that's if they don't already have these capabilities.
What about stories and experiences they can be investigated and what not, but with out hard evidence or the experience, on an individual basis they become a case of he said, she said, but compiled together they can be a great source of evidence.
Hard evidence will remain supreme (if it's not a hoax that is), as for vids and pics, well, it's healthy to be skeptical, which doesn't mean dismissive.
Hope that made sense, I also have a habit of not entirely explaining myself entirely, so please don't take offense.

Georgia Bigfoot really is a hoax

Georgia Bigfoot Press Conference (video)
Frickin fart arsing around, but I guess this is what you do when you want maximum exposure, keep everyone wanting more. Full of controversy with enough drama for a T.V movie of the week, hell, I'd watch that.
There's lot's of info presented in the Georgia Bigfoot Press Conference, the back story, what's going to happen next, D.N.A results and a couple pictures, sadly none of it presents what we really want. It's my opinion that the press conference was in aid of fishing for the best offer, Biscardi even mentions that they're hoping to have someone film it "maybe even one of you. Directed towards the reporters". Is this a hoax? there's a lot of opinions online and it really does look like that bigfoot mask, but this story looks to have a long road ahead of it, most think it's a proven hoax but I'm inclined to see it through whatever the outcome.

The Rickmat Creature
So Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer (link to their site) may have found a sasquatch corpse, now dubbed the "RICKMAT" creature, I thought the story was over when they posted a confession video on youtube, now gone from their account, they didn't confess to hoaxing the body part mind you, but the video is pretty damaging to their credibility. I don't know if it was in aid of reducing the amount of attention they were receiving but it seems likely.

The earliest news report I could find is from Fayette Daily News, which should give you the low down of who they are and what they got.
After watching the above video I stopped following the story up until a few days ago when I saw a clip of Tom Biscardi on Fox News talking about the whole thing which peaked my interest again.
Turns out they're holding a press release today or tomorrow or something (the whole I'm from NZ things confusing me about the dates) where new evidence will be revealed, there's also been quite an amount of mainstream media coverage of late.
There's also a photo of the supposed creature floating around the net, though it has been quickly likened to a costume that's actually available for purchase, some where. From the comparison picture at that link it's not looking to good.
Well, that's enough mess from me, I've got a little case of information overload. The Blogsquatcher's doing a nice job of keeping track of all the latest developments, I caught up with most of them there, great work mate.

Drunk and listening to music
OK I lied, the post after this will be the "indepth body of bigfoot" post. Right now this will be my first time drunk on Paranormal activities. So lets start off by what I'm listening to, I'm listening to a mixture of "Chicago" "Bob Marley" some new music and some one hit wonders.
As for one hit wonders, "Goodbye Horses" is the one right now, that's the one from "Silences of the Lambs", man it always makes me want to do a "Jay" from "Clerks 2", fricken cheesy as. Another 80s classic is "You're the best around", look it up, it's from the "Karate Kid", just a little inspirational motivation for all the bloggers out there, oh and "Renegade" from Styx, makes me feel like marching.
As for newish music, "A perfect Circle" never goes a miss, same as "Tool" and whatever is in the limelight at the mo.
Oh, back to old music, T-Rex "Children of the Revolution" dang that's got a nice hook and so does anything from Iggy Pop.
That Aside here's a video from my mates gig at a bar called Valve, there name is "Defilogen", death metal styles.
Update: Here's there Myspace page, they update it with their upcoming gigs.
Come on they need some more views and ratings.

Bigfoot Body Video
Just a quick post. I've been following that story of the law enforcement guys who claim to have a body of a bigfoot pretty loosely, awhile back I thought they had admitted to it being all a hoax. Well it seems to have gained some legs and Tom Biscardi appeared on fox news talking about it and invited fox to come and film it, there's also a press conference this Friday I think, where they'll provide some photographic and DNA evidence,
I've really got to catch up on this story from start to finish, so my next post will be all about that.

I've been obsessive
I've spent the past few days totally obsessed with finding plugins and widgets for this site, in particular a collapsing categories widget, the categories are getting a little out of hand. I found about half a dozen such plugins but none of them seemed compatible with the theme I'm using for Paranormal Activities.
I tried to fix them but sadly my expertise doesn't expand that far and I've settled on a simple dropdown menu.
Also awhile ago I added a word verification captcha to the comments form, I'd rather not have it but Wordpress is a comment spam magnet, I was receiving 50 to 100 spam comments a day, the captcha has totally eliminated that.
I'm also in the process of finishing off the design for PA, hopefully it'll give it some flava.

An Orange Sky at Night
So right now to me this video looks like a nice sun set. The video shows an orange sky shot at 9pm at night, what I'm wondering is at that time is it supposed to be pitch black? because I know down here in NZ with daylight savings it's still light out at that time.

Thinking about making a Magnetic Motor
So I'm thinking about maybe building a magnetic motor, I've been watching loads of youtube videos on the subject and through them it's plain to see what they do.
Here's a couple magnetic motor videos for ya.
The gadget looks simple enough to make, the only problem I'm facing is I don't really understand what the hell it's for. The info I've been reading online seems to go in all kinds of directions as to how it works, what it does etc.
Right now what I think it would be used for is not to different from that of a wind turbine, the blades spin (or a wheel of magnets in this case) which spin the shaft of a generator which generates electricity. Some of what I've read points to the magnets generating the energy.
Not sure what's up, I guess I have more reading to do.

Ladies Charging the Gates of Area 51
This makes a great addition to my Tourism Area 51 collection. A bunch of people head out to check the gates of Area 51, while on Groom Lake Road heading towards the gates of Area 51 they are flagged down by a couple older ladies who are seemingly on the same quest though a little lost. What happens next is the furthest I've seen anyone go beyond the warning signs, the camo dudes take chase and well, it's hard to say what happened beyond that.

Just as an aside, from what I've seen and what I can gather is that if you cross the line the camo dudes will detain you and call the local police, I don't think the popo like traveling all the way out there, it's inconvenient for them.

Asheville High School Ghost Video
This video shows a shadowy apparition which appears in the halls of Asheville High School, the school doesn't want to alarm the parents or students, they think it's interesting but they say they can't explain the footage either and it seems they want to leave it at that. A paranormal expert claims that it is totally paranormal.
For me there does seem to be something there, no equipment malfunction, it seems to cast a shadow, but it's not consistent. The light source at the very top seems to be in the center of the room and the shadow looks to distort it as it passes, indicating that it may be closer to the camera and not actually passing directly across the doorway as perceived.
Could it be an out of focus moth or the real deal?

Gee, Dr. Mitchel's getting around isn't he, he just appeared in an interview on a current affairs show down here in New Zealand called Campbell live. It was a brief but dedicated piece that explained briefly the mans history and his views on Roswell. If I know the flow of the show Campbell Live, John Campbell usually sticks with the topics he brings forward, so I'm hoping to see further investigations from the show, here's hoping.

A closer look at Crop Circles
When I was younger me and my friends used to make crop circles in my neighbors overgrown lawn, it's pretty easy to and took no time at all. This is the main reason I don't have that great an interest in the subject, that and the first time I saw a crop circle was on some T.V show about the people who make them, there was no talk about visitors from outer space making them, the show was also the reason why we made them.
Below is a video by Matthew Williams? a crop circle prankster who shares his thoughts on what to look for when trying to identify a man made one. Seems quite simple really.

Spot, Capture, Escape and Evade
These are a little old but still great entertainment. I first saw the S.P.O.T one and thought to myself what the hell is this, so I checked out the users other videos, saw this sites address in one of them, went to it, then bam mystery solved.
Turns out they were part of a viral campaign for the movie "Hellboy II," looks like there was an alternate reality game going on as well, wish I had of known about that one earlier.

Quantum physics, Metaphysics, WTF?
Quantum physics, Metaphysics, wtf?
I just finished watching a bunch of videos about this stuff, mostly from the collection of a Youtube user called Holofractalist, and do you know what I saw in them... I saw an explanation for god, the soul, aliens, the beginnings of this world and the oneness of everything.
Though I've really got to separate the two fields of Metaphysics and Quantum physics, I've spent the last 20 minutes trying to move a bottle of ink using only thought alone lol.
But seriously it's some amazing stuff, I can't really explain what they're talking about but check em out, they'll hurt your brain.
Below is a few of my favorites I just watched.

About a week ago I went and bought myself a brand new Sony PSP Slim and Lite, bought entirely with money I've earned online, I've also bought a computer and a camera this way.
My motivation for this purchase, well everyone I know seems to have gadgets filled with their digital lives, I wanted to be part of that and I originally wanted one of those new Apple Iphone 3Gs, but once I saw the monthly plans (about $250 a month with an extremely subsidized Iphone) on offer I immediately thought screw that and began thinking about an alternative. The PSP came to mind, it has a big screen like I wanted, it plays games, videos, photos and music and it also has Wifi so I can connect to the net on the go.
So it doesn't have a phone, but I've already got one of those, prepay, $10 for 2000 text messages a month, I don't need minutes I never use my phone to make calls, crazy that.
Hmm, I feel a brief guide coming on.
Buying the PSP - I got the basic package which includes the PSP, the battery and charger cables. There seems to be loads more packages available in other countries that include what you really need to get the most out of the PSP.
What I also needed to buy - I needed to buy a memory stick, without it you won't be able to save games or play movies, music, photos on your PSP, a memory stick is a must for a PSP, I got the 4gig memory stick pro duo. I also bought a couple games, "God of War: Chains of Olympus" and "Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core."
What I also needed - To get that music, movies and photos on my PSP I needed a USB cable, lucky enough before buying one I thought I'd try the one that came with my digital camera and whaddya know, works like a charm. I don't have a wireless set-up at home, so that could be another option, but from what I've read it's a little complicated.
What have I been doing with my PSP - Well first off, I've been playing games, nuff said. I've also been filling it up with photos, videos and music using my USB cable and PC, though this isn't actually as simple as it sounds.
First you need to format your memory stick on your psp, this will set-up a folder structure, here's an example of what it should look like. As you can see there's two music folders and two picture photos, right now I don't know why that is, but for my photos and music I'm using the folders located under PSP.
Videos are the iffy part, they have to be a certain file type, either mp4 or AVC, so you need software to convert video files to the compatible types. I've also read they need to be named a certain way, but I haven't found that to be the case.
What I've been using for videos - I've been using a program called PSP Video Converter (PSPVC), which converts video files to the right type and then sends it to my PSP, works like a charm, PSPVC has a few other options that I won't go into here, lets just say that if you like a video on youtube or any number of video sharing sites you can also enjoy them on your PSP. I've also been searching "Google Video," most of the videos on there have download options and PSP is one of them, it's video overload. And lastly I've been downloading game demos from the Playstation Store.

Poltergeist Activity Spooks Dogs
I found the first video over at Phantoms and Monsters, (which I just noticed had a new header image, very nice). It supposedly shows some poltergeist activity captured on a stationary camera, the dogs in the video certainly looked spooked. I haven't gotten a fright from a video in a long, but this one caught me.
The user who uploaded the above video also has a couple other poltergeist videos, same person by the looks. One video shows a couple creepy eyes peering out from a darkened room, I'd seen this one before but didn't think much of it, could have been glare off of a bathroom sink for all I could tell, the other video shows the mans dog frightened and hiding under a bed, then banging starts and the man heads to the attic where things start to move.
My thoughts that poltergeist videos are very hard to analyze, if you were to fake one you'd use practical trickery and unless they make a mistake it would be impossible to tell. So getting in contact with the person who filmed it would be the best option in investigation.
So could this be someones Internet video project or could it be someones real poltergeist problem?

Realufos has put together a list of Youtubes top 20 UFO video posters, there's a lot of familiar names on the list and quite a few new ones. At the time of my reading it looks as if the list is being added to, definitely a great resource for all that are interested in UFOs.
Just a side note, Realufos mentions that a lot of the top 20 posters he has followed have had their accounts suspended by Youtube once they gain in popularity, there also seems to be a feeling among other sites that this is some kind of conspiracy to keep the UFO phenomena buried, though it's my feeling that these Youtube posters get their accounts banned because most of the videos they upload are not theirs, copyrights and all that jazz.
If only they'd read up a little on "Fair use", they could parody, use commentary, report on, that could help them keep there Youtube accounts.

Jack Nicholson's Hydrogen Fueled Car from 1978
Man, how lazy is this world, even in 1978 Jack Nicholson had a Hydrogen fueled car, though I wouldn't want that much hydrogen in the boot.
Though I have learned a few things while checking the above sentence for facts, well not really. My belief until just now was that a hydrogen powered car would be completely pollution free, that they would just result in puddles on the road, but after a little research I found that it wasn't as clear cut as that.
So there's a couple ways you can go about producing hydrogen, one is toxic and the others a lot more friendly, though I get the feeling that people, big wigs or whatever feel they need to produce it in bulk to sell onto the consumer, but like that recent water power system from Genepax demonstrates, we can produce it on the go as long as we have a bottle of water handy, we can cut out the middle man and the need for bulk production of hydrogen. Sounds good to me, now just hurry up.
As an aside, I briefly read that water vapor is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect (this is what a hydrogen fueled car would emit), though they're clouds and there's not much we can do about that, my question is would a world full of hydro cars contribute to the greenhouse effect or is there something I'm missing?
